In recent years, because of different reasons, Chinese traditional goodness has been forgotten. For example, in many students’ minds, the idea of filial duty to their parents has been discounted and even lost.
As far as I am concerned, the main reasons is that they lack the sense of thanksgiving to their parents. Besides, they often consider themselves to be number ones, forgetting thanks. They al ways take their parents’ cultivation, teachers' teaching and social offering for granted. It is related to the educ ation of our society, family, and school, and traditional goodness is being forgotten and even lost.
Therefore, we should develop an activity, whose theme is “Building harmonious school yard needs thanksgiving education”. It will be very meaningful in building a harmonious society and developing Chinese traditional goodness.
Aducation is not an end, but a means to an end. In other words, we do not educate children only for educating them. Our purpose is to fit them for life.
In some modern countries it has been fashionable to think that free education for all can solve all the problems of society and build a perfect nation. But we can already see that free education for all is not enough.We find in such countries a far larger number of people with university degrees refusing to do what they think is "low"work, and. in fact, working with one's hands is thought to be dirty and shameful in such countries. But we have only to think a moment to understand that the work of a completely uneducated farmer is far more important than that of a professor~ we can live without education,but we die if we have no food. If no one cleaned our streets and took the rubbish away from our houses, we should get terrible diseases in our towns.
In fact, when we say that all of us must be educated to fit us for life, it means that we must be educated in such a way that, firstly, each of us can do whatever work is suited to his brains and ability and, secondly, that we can realize that all jobs are necessary to society, and that it is very bad to be ashamed of one's work. Only such a type of education can be considered valuable to society.
Normally school education aims to cultivate students' abilities to learn and think. But more and more people realize that without the cultivation of moral norms and ethics, we can hardly expect a society to be nice enough for leading a harmonious life. As a result, schools should attach more attention to develop students’ character education, such as qualities of honesty and filial piety.
Character education plays an important role in the development of future society. It meets the need of emphasizing and developing the students’ all-round qualities. In the long run, it protects students from being selfish, indifferent, conceited as well as impolite in their daily lives. What's more, it teaches students how to learn efficiently, how to live colourfully, how to do things seriously, for their own future,and also for the future of their motherland.
Education is the most outstanding problems in China now,one of urban and rural education is the key to the problem.Can it is no exaggeration to say that city and countryside education education has great inequality.City people,their education is advanced.They have advanced equipment,excellent teacher,a good learning environment.For example of multimedia,computer,etc.And the cities student life condition is good,without too much difficulty with learning irrelevant.
Rural education is very backward,they in makeshift classrooms,no advanced teaching facilities.Education funds inadequacy,not enough teacher.Some teachers even as many courses,the countryside student because many things cannot learn,for example when expenses.They have to go home work,this is China's rural education of the status quo.
Thus,the distinction between urban and rural education is to have a large gap,this is because of the low level of rural economic development and people's living conditions is bad,only improving people's living conditions,they can be further narrowing the gap between the gap,but now they are increased,it is Chinese education most prominent question!
In ancient time, moral education and intellectual education were in same process. With the development of society the position of moral education and intellectual education changed , and the moral education split up into directive moral education and indirective moral education. This change brought about conflict between the two forms and make any form not fully play its role. The methods to overcome it are carry out comprehensive moral education , make the two forms of moral education as an organic whole. To realize it can adopt subject curriculum, activity curriculum and hiden curriculum, make them infiltrate one another and complete the task of fostering together.
Twenty-three lectures on popular science have been held to promote the education of modern science and technology. Students, whose enthusiasm for creativity and innovation has been greatly spurred, handed in more than 500 pieces science projects.
To strengthen the organic combination of the school, family and social education, the district established a family education guidance centre, juvenile psychological guidance centres in 32 primary and middle schools, and has trained 460 teachers to upgrade their methods for moral education.
Furthermore, the district organized more than 1,400 18-year-olds to participate in an oath ceremony last year. Thirty students donated blood after the ceremony.
Students? national pride and sense of social responsibility have been greatly strengthened through various activities including Protecting Our Mother River and Hand in Hand With the Needy.
